Inclusive Music Workshop for families and friends – OmniMusic’s FamJam at Stockroom!

A young person in a motorised wheelchair is playing a chime with their support worker. They are both looking towards the chimes and smiling.

We’re excited to announce a brand new opportunity for Disabled people and their loved ones to come together, create music and share joyful moments in an inclusive and supportive space.

Starting on 8 June, FamJam will bring bi-monthly music making sessions to Stockroom, the new community hub in Merseyway. Using assistive tech and co-creation, these workshops celebrate creativity, connection, and the power of music for everyone.

FamJam is designed for Disabled children, young people and adults to make music with their friends and families.

At OmniMusic, we’ve seen just how powerful music can be in bringing people together. But we also know that there are far too few spaces where Disabled people can join in with their friends and families to make music meaningfully. That’s what FamJam is all about.

Each session is led by specialist music practitioners who will support participants in selecting instruments tailored to their physical and sensory preferences. With a mix of traditional, adapted, and assistive instruments, everyone gets the chance to explore sound in their own unique way.

These workshops are all about expression, joy, and connection—there’s no “right” way to make music here.

Please note: while FamJam is designed to be family-friendly, the sessions are not recommended for very small children under 5 years old.

We’ve designed two sessions to best suit different age groups:

We look forward to seeing you at one of the sessions! If you have any questions please get in touch.
